Canada Day Statement from Andrea Horwath

On behalf of Ontario’s New Democrats, I want to wish everyone across Ontario a very Happy Canada Day.

In parks and on beaches, on docks and porches, in communities all across our province, Ontarians will come together to celebrate being Canadian, and the incredible country that we all call home. Whether your family has called Canada home for many generations, or if you are a new Canadian, we are all Canadians. As Canadians we need to stand up for our values – values of inclusion, fairness, equality, justice and respect for each other.

Every day I am proud to live in this free and accepting country where we can each live our lives to our fullest potentials. On Canada Day, it gives me great joy to celebrate this great place.
