NDP MPP Paul Miller receives unanimous consent for book of condolences to honour Hamilton soldier

QUEEN’S PARK — As all of Canada continues to reel from the awful act of brutality that shocked our nation’s capital yesterday, NDP MPP for Hamilton East- Stoney Creek Paul Miller called for unanimous consent to place a book of condolences for Cpl. Nathan Cirillo in the Ontario legislature.

“We are all deeply saddened by the tragic loss yesterday of Corporal Nathan Cirillo of Hamilton’s Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regiment, who was one of my constituents, “ said Miller. “We are grateful for the brave men and women, like Corporal Cirillo, who give their lives in service to our country, something we share in common with all Ontarians.”

Miller’s request for unanimous consent to have a book of condolences placed in the main lobby of the Legislative Building was granted.

“All Ontarians are welcome to sign the book to pay our respects to this brave young father,” said Miller.

The book has been placed in the main lobby and is now available to be signed by MPPs and the public.
