Statement from Ontario NDP leader Andrea Horwath on the beginning of Ramadan

Ramadan Mubarak!

New Democrats join with Muslims across Ontario as they begin celebrations for the month of Ramadan.

This holy month unites all Muslims in fasting, worship and prayer. It is a time for personal reflection and spirituality, and for family, friends and community. 

New Democrats are proud of our strong relationships with Muslim communities across Ontario and recognize the important contributions that Muslims make to our society.

Ontario’s strength is our diversity. By celebrating the traditions of the many groups that make up the cultural mosaic of our province we build a stronger and more inclusive Ontario.
