Statement by NDP Leader Andrea Horwath on Hamilton’s municipal election

“On behalf of Ontario New Democrats, I would like to congratulate mayor-elect Fred Eisenberger, new and returning city councillors and school board trustees.  Hamiltonians are known for working hard, and this municipal campaign was no exception. 

I was encouraged to see our new council is more reflective of our city’s diversity. This is an exciting time for Hamilton that will only make our city stronger.   

Hamilton will be a more inclusive, progressive and vibrant city with the hard work and leadership of this new city council.”
