Thank You

Thank you.

Thank you to the more than 1 million Ontarians who voted for the NDP.

Thank you to the thousands of volunteers who knocked on doors, hammered in signs and made hundreds of phone calls.

Thank you to everyone who donated.

Thank you to the many candidates who put their name forward, in our party and in others.

The provincial election included victories and disappointments.

We’ve gained seats we have not held in decades. We've raised our popular vote and have more second place finishes than we've had in a generation.  We have three fabulous new MPPs in Joe Cimino, Jennifer French and Lisa Gretzky. For the first time ever, we have a majority of women in our Ontario Caucus.

The election, however has been bittersweet. We have lost great and longstanding MPPs in Toronto. We will miss Jonah Schein, Rosario Marchese and Michael Prue.

We have an important job to do beginning on
July 2 when the Legislature returns. And New Democrats are ready to be the real, progressive opposition at Queen's Park.

To build an Ontario where no one is left behind; an Ontario where people can find a job; an Ontario with a government truly accountable to its citizens — we will work hard to elect an NDP government.

In the months ahead, we will begin a process that will engage members, supporters and donors to build an even stronger party focused on growing. I want you to be part of that growth.
