Administrative Clerk – Full-Time, Temporary

The OntarioNDP is looking for a Riding Fundraising Support Specialist to join our team and helpstrengthen local fundraising efforts across the province.

This role supports riding associations and campaigns by building sustainable fundraising strategies and ensuring compliance with Ontario’s political fundraising rules. It’s a chance to work collaboratively, make a tangible impact, and be part of a movement that fights for a better future.

DUTIES

• Open the office each morning. Punctuality and in-person attendance are mandatory.

• Answer the reception phone and triage a wide range of questions and concerns from members, donors, and constituents.

• Manage and effectively prioritize multiple external correspondence inboxes.

• Liaise with building management and vendors on administrative, maintenance, and security matters.

• Assist in orientation and onboarding of new employees.

• Receive, sort, distribute, and send mail, including confidential information and payments, and coordinate courier services as needed.

• Draft and distribute well-written correspondence and reports.

• Engage in donor and member stewardship and maintain database accuracy as needed.

• Ensure the office is consistently well-stocked by regularly auditing inventories and

ordering supplies as needed.

• Source vendors and request contract proposals.

• Support other departments as needed with tasks including data entry, phone calls, office management and other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience in reception and administration dealing with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.

• Demonstrated tact, sound political judgement and acuity, and management of sensitive and confidential information.

• Familiarity with party stakeholders and networks including labour and social

movements is an asset.

• Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM an asset.

• Proficiency in French and languages in addition to English is an asset.

SKILLS

• Knowledge of the policies, practices and structures of the ONDP is an asset.

• A polite, engaging and enthusiastic telephone manner.

• Awareness of and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion practices and policies.

• Exceptional written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to multi-task, highly organized and detail-oriented.

Compensation

This position is compensated as per the ONDP Collective Agreement Class 1. Starting salary

is $49,070.24 per annum.

Location

The ONDP has an office at 2069 Lakeshore Blvd West, Etobicoke, ON M8V 3Z4, though the

role may involve travel to support local campaigns.
