People often say that the political agenda is set by those around the table.

For generations, Black, Indigenous and racialized people have been excluded from meaningful decision-making. And we want to change that.

Access to clean drinking water. A good job and a decent home we can afford. Opportunity, fair treatment and respect for us and our loved ones. These are basics every Ontarian deserves, and yet Black, Indigenous and racialized communities constantly have to fight for them.

Together, we can do so much better.

In 2018, the NDP elected the most diverse Official Opposition that Ontario has ever seen.

And in 2022, with your help, we can form a government where our communities, our families and our lives matter – not just during an election… but all the time.

Seeking the nomination and running for public office is an important decision and we will work to make it as transparent and simple as possible. Support from family, friends and your community is essential. If you are seriously thinking about running, consider those who will be in your corner.

If you aren’t already, consider getting involved in your riding association. It is a great way to become more familiar with the Party and local issues.
