The last Conservative government shut down 28 hospitals, closed over 7,000 beds and laid off 6,000 nurses. And Kathleen Wynne froze hospital operating budgets for four years in a row, forcing hospitals to make deep cuts to keep up.
Andrea Horwath and the NDP will restore funding for our hospitals, add 2,000 new beds now and invest $19 billion in hospital capital expansion to meet growing capacity needs across Ontario.
