Who’s Your Community Champion?
This International Women’s Day we’re recognizing not only the toll this pandemic has taken on women specifically, but we’re celebrating the extraordinary ways women have been supporting their communities.
While women are more likely to be working on the frontlines, facing challenges like balancing childcare with online learning and working from home, are more likely to have lost employment while being less likely to re-enter the workforce, they're also stepping up in courageous ways to help their communities during these tough times.
Is there someone you know who you’d like to see celebrated this International Women’s Day? Whether it’s a friend who started a community food drive, a neighbour who set up a learning pod, a colleague who is helping families navigate tenant’s rights, we want to help honour their work.
