NDP Finance critic: Ford’s demand that Ontarians accept deep cuts at odds with FAO report findings

QUEEN’S PARK — Sandy Shaw, NDP critic for Finance and Treasury Board, released the following statement, in response to findings from today’s Financial Accountability Office (FAO) of Ontario’s report:

“Today’s FAO report shows that Ontario spends less per person on health care and programming than any other province. Yet, Doug Ford continues to demand that people in this province make sacrifices, and accept deep cuts from their government.

Our world-class health care system is already hanging by a thread. What this FAO report proves is that the people of Ontario deserve to get more from their government, not less.”
