Together we can dismantle white supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups in Ontario

Over 300 alt-right or white supremacist groups are active in Canada, many of which are active in Ontario. Allowing this violent hate to spread has real consequences.

On January 29, 2017, a gunman attacked worshippers gathered for evening prayers at the Centre Culturel Islamique de Quebec, killing six men and damaging Muslim communities across Canada.

Last year, volunteer caretaker Mohamed-Aslim Zafis was murdered at his Toronto mosque by a man with apparent links to a Neo-Nazi group.

We have a Premier who poses for photos with white supremacist groups like the Proud Boys.

Ontarians deserve a government that fights hate in all its forms. We need a provincial action plan to dismantle white supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups in Canada that threaten Black, Indigenous, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh and other faith and racialized communities. Add your name to support it.

Our provincial action plan includes:

A province-wide Anti-Racism strategy that addresses the rising tide of hate, and works to dismantle far-right hate groups and extremist organizations
Dedicated funding for places of worship to establish and implement their own security plan, including hiring staff to keep them safe
Stopping and revoking the registration of white supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups as not-for-profits in Ontario
Fully funding and empowering the Anti-Racism Directorate
Calling on the federal government to establish a corresponding national action plan to dismantle Canadian white supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups
Dedicated funding for community organizations to research and combat the use of online tools to spread hate and misinformation
Holding social media companies accountable for hate on their platforms
Passing Bill 83 to provincially recognize January 29 as Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia in Ontario
