Students deserve a strong, present-day curriculum

We need to move education forward-not backwards. To succeed, students need curriculum that sets them up for success, supports them, and prepares them for their future.

    But Ford’s education plans are regressive. He scrapped the 2015 Health and Sex Ed curriculum, the replacement delays teaching sexuality and gender identity until Grade 8. Leaving LGBTQ+ students behind. He abruptly cancelled Indigenous curriculum updates required by Truth and Reconciliation Commission to remedy the gaps in knowledge that perpetuate racism. His cuts have made it harder for students to access STEM, shop, and other courses.
