Hydro One sell-off coming up billions of dollars short: Tabuns

Ontario NDP Energy Critic Peter Tabuns issued the following statement.

“Not only is Premier Wynne ignoring the majority of Ontarians who want to keep Hydro One in public hands, but now she’s willing to sell Ontario’s electricity transmission system at a deep discount. According to a Bloomberg Business report, Premier Wynne is ready to settle for far less than the $2.25 billion she promised to raise only 6 months ago for 15% of Hydro One. At this rate the Liberal government is on track to sell off our treasured public asset for billions less than forecast.  More than 170 municipalities have said no to this bad deal. The Premier needs to listen to Ontarians and stop the fire sale of Hydro One.'
