'Our deepest condolences go out to his wife Margaret, his children, his family and friends.
As a union organizer, and as the NDP MPP for Cambridge, Monty dedicated his life to improving the lives of working men and women, families, and fighting for and with those who were struggling.
Monty helped build Ontario based on the fundamental value of social justice, and his spirit of solidarity with workers, and the people of Ontario, lives on in all of us.
As his supporters said in the 1975 provincial campaign, 'I'm for Monty'.'
