Statement from NDP MPP Lisa Gretzky on stalled teacher negotiations

NDP MPP and Critic for Education Lisa Gretzky issued the following statement on stalled negotiations with Ontario’s public elementary school teachers.

'The Premier must tell her Minister to get back to the bargaining table and negotiate with public elementary teachers in a meaningful way. The Premier has a responsibility to ensure that working conditions in our elementary schools are healthy for educators and students alike. These take it or leave it bargaining tactics will leave our schools in chaos and put student learning conditions in jeopardy. The bottom line is that the government must return to the table and ensure that a fair deal is reached.”
