Digital Analytics Specialist – Full-Time Contract

The Digital Analytics Specialist will work with the digital and fundraising departments under the direction of the Head of Engagement to make sure that every program has data access and analysis needed for optimal performance. This means consistent reporting, analysis, and leveraging data for better results in all facets of engagement, online and offline.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of modeling, analytics, targeting, and experiments programs
  • Working with digital and fundraising teams to analyze and improve key performance indicators
  • Develop goal-setting methodology for engagement projects and deliverables
  • Creating new systems for segmentation and targeting
  • Building dashboards and other reporting systems
  • Improve reporting and data quality across all systems
  • Work to ensure all systems and data are compliant with Elections Ontario regulations
  • Provide data support for the fundraising, digital, accounting and processing teams
  • Execute and optimize technical elements of engagement programs including email and text message campaigns
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Working on or completed degree in analytical political science, economics, or statistics
  • Proven experience with statistical analysis and research methodologies
  • At least 2 years’ experience using Microsoft Excel or other tools in a professional data setting
  • Interest in Ontario politics and keen on advancing progressive causes
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently to hit tight deadlines under pressure
  • Past experience on NDP campaigns
  • Knowledge of SQL, specifically PostGres, to extract and load data

Useful skills:

  • Experience with Populus, the NDP database system
  • Advanced data science tools such as R

Starting date

The contract will begin September 9th, 2019 and last until November 1st, 2019.
