Employment Equity, Accommodations & Transparency

The ONDP actively promotes employment equity. Women, Black, Indigenous, and people of colour, persons with disabilities, 2SLGBTQI+, and anyone from equity-deserving groups are strongly encouraged to apply. If you are a member of an equity-deserving group, you may choose to identify as such in your application.

We are committed to an environment that is barrier free. If you require accommodation at any stage during the hiring process, please do not hesitate to contact Danielle Ouellette at douellette@ontariondp.ca to arrange appropriate accommodation.

We believe that it is important to be transparent about compensation–all ONDP postings include the wage or salary range for the position.

In recognition of the time and labour involved in preparing for and attending an interview, the ONDP will financially compensate interviewees at a fixed rate of $75 per interview. In the event that a candidate is asked to prepare a presentation or assignment for an interview, the ONDP will financially compensate the candidate for that work at a rate equal to the hourly rate for the position, based on the number of hours the hiring committee believes the task should take.

The ONDP will not use ideas from presentations or assignments of candidates not selected for the position.

Finally, staff of the ONDP are members of a union which means employees have a strong and important voice in the workplace.

Please note that, from time to time, postings for positions with the ONDP Caucus or MPP’s are included on this site. The workplaces are separate and distinct and the above only applies to those positions posted by the ONDP.
