The Liberal Record: 10 years of mismanagement

TORONTO – This morning Ontario New Democrat Taras Natyshak previewed a soon-to-be-released advertisement about the central choice facing voters when they cast their ballots in the province’s general election on June 12.

Ontario's New Democrats said the ad poses the key question voters are facing in this election: after ten years of scandal after scandal, do Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals deserve time in the penalty box?

Natyshak pointed out that Wynne has spent the campaign running from the Liberal record of wasting billions on eHealth, Ornge, and the gas plants scandal. The ad is part of a broader push by New Democrats to hold the Liberals accountable for ten years of tax dollar mismanagement.

“From eHealth to the gas plant debacle, the Liberals have shown time and time again they can’t be trusted to respect taxpayer dollars,” said Natyshak.

“Tim Hudak is no better, with a foolish plan to fire 100,000 people,” he added.

“It’s time for leadership that stands up for middle class families and delivers – on jobs, on affordability, on accountability. Andrea Horwath is the only leader who makes sense,” said Natyshak.

The ad features a ticker that counts up the tax dollars the Liberals have wasted on scandal and mis-spending, and ends with call “to put the Liberals in the penalty box.”
