NDP MPPs condemn racist video targeting London’s Pakistani community

LONDON – London NDP MPPs Peggy Sattler, Terence Kernaghan and Teresa Armstrong have released a statement after a video was posted on social media involving a customer at the Bamyan restaurant in London:

“We strongly condemn the racist video that was posted on social media. The profanity, hatred and racial slurs are deeply offensive, and have no place in our diverse and inclusive city where everyone should feel safe and respected.

We stand in solidarity with London’s Pakistani community in denouncing this appalling act of racism. As Ontarians, we must all step up and stand up to root out racism in all its forms."
