Statement from Ontario NDP Leader and Hamilton Centre MPP Andrea Horwath

Ontario NDP Leader and Hamilton Centre MPP Andrea Horwath issued the following statement regarding hate mail sent to Hamilton synagogue Temple Anshe Sholom, along with other synagogues in Ontario and across the country:

“Hate has no place here, or in any community in this country, and I am deeply troubled by these new acts of anti-Semitism. I believe we need to speak together to condemn hate speech, and act together to celebrate our diversity – it’s what makes this community such an incredible place to live.

On behalf of Ontario New Democrats, I offer my solidarity to the many people who worship at Temple Anshe Sholom.
