Doug Ford’s Bill 33 — the “Supporting Children and Students Act” — remains a dangerous power grab that threatens our schools, campuses, and communities. It centralizes control in the Premier’s Office, undermines local democracy, and risks cutting the very student services and classroom supports that keep young people safe and supported.

Over the last several months, thousands of Ontarians have joined the fight to stop Bill 33. Together, we’ve built petitions, held canvasses and phone zaps, and pushed back against Ford’s agenda before the Legislature’s return on October 20, showing that parents, students, and educators won’t be silenced.

Now that Queen’s Park is back in session, it’s time to regroup!

Join us for a virtual campaign briefing and organizing session from across the province with the following guests:

  • ONDP MPP and Shadow Education Minister Chandra Pasma
  • Assistant Professor at UOttawa' Faculty of Education Dr. Sachin Maharaj
  • Grassroots campaigners from across Ontario

We’ll cover:

  • What’s happened since the Legislature reconvened and where Bill 33 stands now;
  • Updates from the on-the-ground campaign to defend local democracy in education;
  • What’s next: new organizing tools, petition targets, and upcoming actions you can take part in.

This Town Hall is your chance to connect with others fighting for public education, share local updates, and help plan the next phase of the campaign.
