Phone Bank Fundraiser (Full-Time, Temporary)

The Ontario NDP is looking for energetic, organized, and results-oriented individuals to join

our fundraising and outreach team as Phone Bank Fundraisers.

As a Phone Bank Fundraiser, you’ll engage with members and supporters across the province, raising funds to support our organizing work through memberships, monthly donations, event ticket sales, and other outreach campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Party’s auto-dialing software and make a high volume of daily calls (minimum 40 per hour).

• Engage members and supporters in persuasive, values-driven conversations to secure donations and memberships.

• Work to achieve and exceed individual and team fundraising targets.

• Accurately record call outcomes and maintain meticulous records in the Party’s databases.

• Maintain a friendly, professional, and informed approach with all contacts.

• Handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with the Ontario NDP’s Non Disclosure Agreement.

• Participate in other outreach or voter engagement campaigns as required.

• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and supportive team environment.

Key Competencies & Skills

• Demonstrated success in fundraising, telemarketing, or call-based outreach roles.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and an engaging, enthusiastic telephone manner (“the gift of gab”).

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet call and fundraising targets.

• Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

• Comfort using digital tools such as auto-dialers, CRMs, and spreadsheets.

• Knowledge of Ontario politics and familiarity with the Ontario NDP’s values and mission.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection required; access to a laptop is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Hours

This position is compensated as per Appendix IV of the ONDP Collective Agreement.

• Starting wage: $23.40/hour

• Hybrid/Remote (in-person days at ONDP HQ, 2069 Lakeshore Blvd W, Etobicoke)

• Hours: Full-time (including some evenings and weekends)
