As Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism continue to rise, the Ontario NDP is inviting Muslim youth to participate in a civic engagement and political advocacy teach-in. This training will prepare participants to work alongside the Ontario NDP through ongoing, Muslim-led canvassing on the issues that matter most to Muslim Ontarians.

This training is designed to build the skills, confidence, and networks needed to engage Muslim Ontarians through respectful, issue-based conversations and sustained organizing through “for Muslims, by Muslims” canvassing. Participants will partner with their local riding associations and the Ontario NDP to canvass on shared priorities beyond election cycles, and to help build an Ontario for us all.

The Teach-in will focus on:

-  Canvassing and organizing in response to the rise of Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism

-  Engaging Muslim Ontarians on key issues such as affordability, housing, healthcare, and education

-  Understanding how riding associations and grassroots mobilization support long-term advocacy
