Andrea Horwath extends condolences on death of Ottawa personal support worker

QUEEN'S PARK — NDP Official Opposition Leader Andrea Horwath released the following statement of condolences following the loss of a personal support worker at the Peter D. Clark Long Term Care Centre in Ottawa, who has died of COVID-19:

"Today we mourn the tragic loss of a long term care worker who has given their life serving and caring for our province’s most vulnerable.

Our hearts are with the family and friends who must say goodbye to their loved one.

Our thoughts are with the health and wellbeing of their co-workers who risk their lives everyday to keep us safe and healthy.

Ontario must never forget the health care heroes that have lost their lives during this pandemic. They will be remembered, and they will be deeply missed."
