Andrea Horwath’s statement to mark Passover

Passover this year will be much different from years past. For some, Seders will move online, with extended families, friends and communities modifying their traditions — their telling of the Passover story.

The Seder table may be smaller, and the Seder plate may be short some of its traditional items. Some will be lonely, unable to celebrate with others, and I know those folks will be in all our hearts. However your celebrations look this year, I wish everyone celebrating a sense of peace, and especially of hope. The communal spirit of Passover will shine through, even when people are apart.
