Drivers pay for Ford’s broken promises

Doug Ford broke his promise to lower gas prices by 10 cents.

Instead, he let gas prices climb to record-breaking high across the province, at $1.95 in Toronto and $2.05 in Timmins yesterday. The Ford Conservatives voted against stopping gas companies from gouging drivers with regulated prices.

Ford broke his promise to lower car insurance rates - instead, he let insurance companies make a $3.63 billion profit during the pandemic, while Ontario drivers still pay some of the highest rates in the country.

Andrea Horwath will bring down costs for drivers by ending postal code discrimination for car insurance rates and regulating gas to end gouging at the pump.
