Quotes

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath

“We are proud to have Erika on our team as a champion for the people of Nipissing. For too long, Liberal and Conservative governments have let the North down, refusing to give the North its fair share of services and resources. Together we will reverse Doug Ford’s cuts to services in Northern Ontario, and invest in the things that matter — local hospitals, schools, home care and long-term care, and in Northern job creation, so more people can live, work and raise their families in the North.”

Erika Lougheed, NDP candidate for Nipissing

“I am honoured to represent our community in the next provincial election. I’m excited to work with Andrea Horwath and our northern team of NDP MPPs to put our priorities first.

“After decades of cuts from Liberal and Conservative governments, it’s time for a government that works for the people of Nipissing. An NDP government will ensure that everyone has medical attention where and when they need it, that classrooms have enough teachers and staff for students, and that families can finally feel secure that their loved ones will be cared for and protected in long-term care. It’s time for good, stable, well-paying jobs and a bright future for young people to raise their families here. This pandemic has shown us that the Ford Conservatives put their own interests before our safety and our future, and that they can’t be trusted again.”
