Ford government votes against new hospital for Brampton

QUEEN’S PARK — On Monday, the Doug Ford Conservatives voted down a motion from NDP Leader Andrea Horwath to allocate funding for a new Brampton hospital.

“In Brampton, hallway medicine is rampant, and families wait for hours in waiting rooms and hallways — in pain, comforting crying children, and often filled with anxiety,” said Horwath. “The Liberals had 15 years to give Brampton the hospital they need, but they let Brampton families down. Now, as Brampton continues to boom, the Doug Ford Conservatives are doing exactly what the Liberals did: denying Brampton the hospital families desperately need.

“The Liberals froze hospital budgets. And with his cuts, Doug Ford is literally taking things from bad to worse, in Brampton and all over Ontario. It’s shameful that the Conservatives voted ‘no’ on a new hospital for Brampton.”
