Ford’s cuts leave parents without options for child care: NDP

TORONTO — Doly Begum, NDP critic for Early Learning and Child Care and the MPP for Scarborough Southwest, made the following statement in response to the City of Toronto report on child care and the impact of Doug Ford’s cuts:

“This is just another example of how Doug Ford’s cuts are hurting vulnerable kids and their working parents. In Toronto alone, Ford’s reckless cuts are going to leave 760 working parents without an option for child care, wondering how they’re going to keep their jobs and care for their kids.

At a time when we should be making life easier for working parents, Doug Ford is making it harder. He needs to reverse these cuts today.”
