Liberals neglected gun violence for 15 years

Today, the Liberals announced that in fifteen years in government with the tools to address gun violence and its root causes, they were unable to take real action to fix the problems.

Between January 1 2004 and June 7 2018, Toronto Police Services tracked 3719 shootings and firearm discharges in Toronto alone.

Andrea Horwath’s NDP has long called for a ban on the urban sale of hand guns and to stop illegal guns from being smuggled into Ontario. In fifteen years, the Liberals didn’t fix community safety, and Ford’s Conservatives won’t get the job done.
