MPP Michael Mantha welcomes Northern Ontario Heritage Corporation funding in Algoma-Manitoulin

QUEEN’S PARK – MPP Michael Mantha (Algoma-Manitoulin) released the following statement congratulating Springer Aerospace on receiving $1.4 million in funding from the Northern Ontario Heritage Foundation Corporation (NOHFC):

“Congratulations to Springer Aerospace on securing the funding necessary to expand and improve its operations here in Algoma-Manitoulin. The funding announced today from the NOHFC will help grow our regional economy and create more good paying jobs here in the North,” said Mantha.

Northern Ontario businesses took a hard hit by supply chain disruptions and the rising cost of goods under the Ford government. While the NOHFC funding is good news, many businesses are looking for support in Algoma-Manitoulin and across the North.

Doug Ford has made a lot of promises to Northerners and has failed to deliver time and time again. Many local businesses were left out of previous rounds of funding and support programs. Now, more than ever, it is vital for our province to protect Northern workers by supporting our homegrown businesses.”
