NDP introduces Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca in new ad

ETOBICOKE — Ontarians don’t know who Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca is — so the NDP is introducing him in a new ad.

“We think people have a right to know who Steven Del Duca is, what his record is, and who he’s here for,” said NDP Campaign Director Michael Balagus. “Del Duca and the Liberals had 15 years in government. They had the opportunity to make life better for people, but they chose to freeze hospital funding, lay off nurses, and privatize Hydro One. It’s pretty clear Steven Del Duca doesn’t want to run on his record.”

Balagus said the new 30- and 15-second ads were designed to introduce Del Duca — who is largely unknown despite his years as Kathleen Wynne’s cabinet minister — and lay out his record.

The NDP is also running positive, hopeful ads featuring a message from NDP Leader Andrea Horwath as part of a summer and fall campaign. Those ads lay our Horwath’s vision for a government that works with people, instead of against them, and invests in things like health care and schools instead of cutting.
