New Democrats have a plan to support manufacturing investment in Ontario

WINDSOR Andrea Horwath, Leader of Ontario’s New Democrats, joined hard-working New Democrats Lisa Gretsky, candidate for Windsor West, and Percy Hatfield, candidate for Windsor-Tecumseh, and Taras Natyshak, candidate for Essex, to talk about the NDP’s plan to attract more investment from manufacturing companies and create more good jobs for Ontario workers.

“Our Investment Tax Credit will reward manufacturers that invest in buildings, machinery, and equipment in Ontario. By helping companies invest in upgrading their operations, New Democrats will help create and support good jobs in Ontario.”

The NDP investment tax credit will kick-start lasting investments in the manufacturing sector, creating good jobs for Ontario workers today, and into the long term.

“We’re proud to be putting forward solutions that deliver results to get Ontarians back to work,” said Horwath. She noted that today’s announcement is a clear contrast to the Wynne Liberals, who have been unable to grow the economy while families fall further behind. Last year, economic growth in the province hit its lowest level since the recession.
