TORONTO – “I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Lynn Williams, former International President of the United Steelworkers and a true giant of the Canadian labour movement. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and loved ones.”

“Workers and New Democrats across the country owe a debt of gratitude to Lynn. Active in the labour movement from a young age, Lynn worked tirelessly to improve the lives of workers around the globe and was internationally known for his work. Being involved with the labour movement in Hamilton, I couldn’t help but feel influenced by Lynn’s legacy.”
